After meeting our guide, a short briefing, and a test drive, we'll start the engines and set off on a two-hour adventure immersed in the nature of the Nebrodi Mountains. We'll leave Floresta behind us, traveling along dirt roads and mountain trails, crossing beech forests, chestnut groves, streams, and areas characterized by centuries-old maples. As we gain altitude, the landscape will open up before us, offering spectacular views of Mount Etna and the Aeolian Islands. Along the way, it's not uncommon to encounter the animals that freely roam this area, including grazing horses and cows, and, with a little luck, even a few wild boars. One of the most fascinating moments of the experience will be arriving at approximately 1,360 meters above sea level, where we'll reach the source of the Alcantara River. Here we'll turn off the engines and stop to discover the source of one of Sicily's most famous rivers and immerse ourselves in the silence of the mountains. During the excursion, we'll tackle a total elevation gain of almost 900 meters, alternating off-road driving with panoramic stops at the most picturesque points along the route. After approximately 2 hours of hiking, we'll return to the Floresta base camp, concluding an experience that combines adventure, nature, and panoramic views in the heart of the Nebrodi Mountains. #### Who is it for? The driver must be at least 18 years old and hold a class B driving license. The quad can accommodate a driver and a passenger. The experience is ideal for those who want to experience the Sicilian mountains from a different perspective and experience the thrill of quad biking on dirt tracks. #### Additional information The activity has a total duration of approximately 2 hours, departing and returning to the Floresta (ME) base camp. Scenic and nature stops are planned along the route, including one at the source of the Alcantara River. We recommend wearing comfortable, seasonal clothing and closed-toe shoes.
